Site of the Month: January
Towards the end of every month, I will be posting a site that has caught my eye that month. The sites will showcase the best of what the Web has to offer, showing new advances in Web technology, sites using technologies correctly, or just plain awesome websites.
This month, I found a site that codes itself! Yes, that’s right!
The site, by Samuel Reed, is a CV website, that starts off as live text on a white background. As the code / comments appear, the site animates into showing the CSS of the website and what effect it has on the site. This then moves to the side of the screen as the styling takes shape. The content of the site is written in MarkDown, which then gets styled to fit the site better.
The site shows that live editing of content and styling of a website is possible with the use of JavaScript.
